Levite Family Ministry
In the Old Testament, the Levite Family was the family that God gave the honor of caring for the physical aspects of the temple. These people were not just priests, they were the ones who made sure that the property was maintained.
At Blue Ridge, we have chosen to utilize the servant like attitude of our church members and to give families an opportunity to serve Christ together. Our Levite Family Ministry is a volunteer ministry participated in by families, siblings, or small groups. The participants sign for either specific days or individual tasks by contacting Debbie Stevenson (debbie[at]brbible.org). The tasks can be seasonal or daily. Everything from vacuuming each week, to raking leaves, shoveling snow, and basic maintenance is done by volunteers at Blue Ridge. Your family is invited to join this ministry today, and start blessing others through cleaning and maintaining our building and property.

Come one, come all…all ages and all abilities to our Fall Work Day, November 1st, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Come for all or as much as you can. Starting Sunday September 7th, we will resume cleaning the church during Awana (6-8 pm). Thank you very much youth group for cleaning during the summer! You guys did a wonderful job.
This is a great opportunity to serve the church while your kids are at Awana. Many volunteers are needed to help during the whole Awana year. If you are available to help, contact Jeff Stocker (540-338-8543 or jeffrey.e.stocker [at] aero.org) so that we can make sure there are enough helpers.

We are still in need of people available to do weed-wacking and weed-pulling on the church grounds. This is something that families, dads, or teens can do throughout the summer on your own time schedule, and is much needed to keep our church looking great. Wow, can you believe it? Each week the teens are coming to the church around 1 pm on Tuesdays to clean the building from top to bottom. The are doing a great job! Thanks guys!
